macOS utility

Paste text where you click.

TypePaste takes clipboard text and types it into the next field you click. It is built for the awkward places where ordinary paste is blocked, ignored, or simply unreliable.

Typical use cases: remote desktop windows, virtual machines, browser tools, legacy apps, and fields that reject regular paste shortcuts.

How it works
  • 1
Copy the text you want to insert.
  • 2
Arm TypePaste from the menu bar or with Ctrl + Option + V.
  • 3
    Click the destination field.
  • 4
TypePaste simulates typing instead of relying on normal paste.
Built for awkward inputs
  • A
Remote desktop sessions where local paste does not behave as expected.
  • B
Apps and fields that ignore or block ordinary paste shortcuts.
  • C
Users who need a simple click-to-type workflow from the menu bar.

What matters

TypePaste stays small, local, and explicit. It does one job and keeps the workflow visible to the user.

Local only

TypePaste runs on your Mac. The current version does not require an account and does not send clipboard text to remote servers.

User-initiated

The workflow is explicit: copy, arm, click. TypePaste does not silently inject text without an action from the user.

Configurable

Use the menu bar app, adjust typing delay, and launch it at login if you want the workflow ready all day.
